Richard Mathias President
After 28 successful years in the land development business, Richard Mathias formed Mathias Homes, Inc. using the expertise he gained from Mathias Company, an Austin based land development consulting firm he started in 1984. With a keen awareness of all of the facets of real estate development, he has now put that knowledge to use in the homebuilding industry. Richard has the unique skills of land planning, subdivision design, civil engineering and architecture, site and market analysis, political implications, and financial analysis that gives him the ability to create unique residential developments.
Richard is a graduate of the Architectural/Engineering Design Program at the Tom P. Haney Vocational-Technical Institute. He is a past Director of the Texas Capital Area Builders Association and served as Chairman of the Land Development Council for 2 years. He is currently a member of the Homebuilders Association of Austin, the Texas Builders Association, and the National Association of Homebuilders.

Richard lives in Austin with his wife and 2 children, ages 7 and 9, and has a grown daughter and 3 grandchildren. In his spare time, Richard enjoys hunting, camping, fishing, and riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle. |
